A global generic agrochemicals company with deep roots in crop protection.

The Aquatics Division of Sharda USA — a Sharda CropChem Ltd company —
delivers EPA-registered aquatic and non-crop herbicide solutions to applicators across the United States.

Sharda Cropchem Limited

Renamed September 2013 from Sharda Worldwide Exports Private Limited (formed 2004).

The business was the brainchild of Mr. R. V. Bubna, a Chemical Engineer from IIT Bombay with over 45 years of hands-on experience in the chemical industry. Together with Mrs. Sharda R. Bubna, he began operations through the sole proprietorship concerns M/s. Sharda International in 1987 and M/s. Bubna Enterprises in 1989.

Sharda Worldwide Exports Private Limited was formed in 2004, consolidating the manufacture and export of dyes, dye intermediates, pesticides, agrochemicals and V-Belts. On September 6, 2013 the company was renamed Sharda Cropchem Private Limited, and shortly after converted into a public limited company as Sharda Cropchem Limited.

Today, Sharda Cropchem is a fast-growing global agrochemicals company with a leadership position in the generic crop protection chemicals industry. We have made deep inroads in the highly developed European and US markets — both characterized as high entry-barrier markets — with significant presence across LATAM and the rest of the world.

Our asset-light business model focuses on identifying generic molecules, preparing dossiers, seeking registrations, and marketing and distributing formulations through third-party distributors and our own sales force across Europe, Mexico, Colombia, South Africa, and India. Our core competence lies in developing product dossiers and securing registrations across jurisdictions.

The portfolio spans fungicides, herbicides, insecticides, and biocides across multiple markets — and in the United States, the Sharda USA Aquatics Division focuses specifically on aquatic vegetation management: EPA-registered endothall, diquat, imazapyr, bispyribac-sodium, and 2,4-D formulations engineered for lakes, ponds, reservoirs, canals, wetlands, and the shoreline and riparian zones that surround them.

Aquatic vegetation management

Invasive and nuisance aquatic plants — hydrilla, Eurasian watermilfoil, curlyleaf pondweed, water hyacinth, alligator weed, cattail, phragmites — and seasonal algal blooms compromise drinking-water supply, irrigation delivery, hydropower generation, fisheries, recreation, and habitat. The Sharda USA Aquatics portfolio gives lake managers, water utilities, mosquito-control districts, golf courses, and licensed commercial applicators a complete tool set: contact and systemic herbicides, granular and liquid algaecides, and selective and broad-spectrum chemistries — all manufactured to the same specification as the original cited brands.

Every label is designed around the realities of working on the water: short visible-response windows, minimal use-restrictions, defensible labels for sensitive sites, and field support from a team that understands the difference between a reservoir, a stormwater pond, and a brackish marsh.
